It is 4:45 in the morning on our daughter's "gotcha day"......I had to get up to go to the bathroom (hee-hee!). I just wanted to share w/ "someone"... (my sweet "someone" is quietly sleeping in our "Lucy & Desi" bed) :)..... my heart is so quiet....so comforted in knowing that "This is the day the Lord has made...I will rejoice and be glad in it!"

Oh my goodness.....Wade and I walked into our house (excited and exhausted) ....we were met by the most overwhelming sight we have ever experienced! Our home was filled with "love letters" from our friends, our co-workers, our neighbors.....I remember feeling so confused when I walked in and saw faces of people all over my house.....and then all of a sudden I realized who they were ..... and why they were there ~ we have never felt so loved!

Our Beautiful Chinese Princess
Look at this gorgeous outfit from "Aunt" Sha-nay-nay and "Aunt" Ramsey!!! My heart was so full as I put her in that special outfit! I just loved telling her about the "hug" she was wearing!

It is said that girls from the same province call themselve "sisters" regardless of whether they have a friendship connection or not. Our Graycn and her sweet Gracey have such a tender bond. They seem to respond to each other differently than with the other "sisters" :)

Our 2nd Gas Mask found on our 1st night in Changsha!
We were at a "Western Style" chinese restaurant for dinner tonight, and we look up and see a gas mask on the wall of the room that the 30 of us were eating in.....hmmmmmm.....1 gas mask/30 people??? The odds are NOT in our favor! I told the table not to worry...I had my "inhaler"! :)

oh my word! We opened up the closet to put our things in the safe, and look what was "waiting" for us.... a genuine "chinese gas mask"!!! We both looked at each other and said, "I think China might be a little more dangerous than Memphis, TN!!!!!" (Sorry Gambrells!) - notice there is only 1.....wonder who can run the fastest to the closet?? hmmmmm!!! :)

Hey Wade & Holly! I cannot even begin to express my joy and excitement for the two of you! I know your cup is overflowing with joyfulness and gratitude to our Great God for blessing you with Graycn! I am thrilled that today is the day that y'all get to embrace that sweet baby for the very first time! Cherish every moment, as I know you will!!! Your time in China will fly by so quickly and before you know it you will be back home in KC and then before you even know it again, you'll be giving her that sweet pearl you bought for her on her wedding day!!! You both have been such a blessing to me since I have moved here, and I am honored to be even a small part in celebrating Graycn's homecoming to America! I am praying for you and praising God for all that He is going to bless you both with! Love you both bunches (& miss you both, too!) Looking forward to loving on Graycn when y'all get home!! Thanks for taking the extra time to update us all on your blog....I'm reading daily, even several times a day to see if you've updated!!!
